Abstract: The international feminist movement has developed a critique of the dominant economic model that has many aspects in common with the criticism made by the movement for degrowth. In general terms we can say that in both movements it's possible to find a critique of the centrality of productive performance and an emphasis on breeding conditions and community regeneration. Either propose a critique of forms of exasperated individualism, competition and violence promoted by economic liberalism and evoke the virtue of relational and cooperative dimension. There is also a common awareness that social transformation must involve the daily life and not be postponed to a future revolution. On the other hand in degrowth movement reflection of gender remained marginal and so far the topic of care job that highlights the division of responsibilities between men and women was not really developed. The paper aims to investigate the differences between these two political traditions and the reasons for the possible and positive mutual influences.
